Exhibition coming to an end

There could not have been a more fitting or wonderful host for Pippa Wildwood’s exhibition ‘Taking Notice Losing Sight’ than evolve. The centre has been a home for this collection of paintings for just over a year and now it is time for new wonders to adorn its walls. The exhibition will be coming to an end on September 21st 2015.

Exhibition

My first exhibition ‘Taking Notice – Loosing Sight’ is up at evolve wellness centre in south Kensington. The work for the exhibition was chosen in collaboration with Adrian Kowel one of evolve’s founders. The pieces chosen are very atmospheric to match the tranquil ambiance of this charming place. Many of the pieces are playful meditations on the experience of intense observation. How the more you look at something the more it is changed by your attention to it. A bit like saying a word over and over again until it looses it’s original meaning and becomes something entirely new and as if unheard ever before.

It was quite a journey for me to mount the work. I decided to frame my own work, doing everything myself from the mounting down to cutting the glass. Everything had to be done with great precision and care. I had my fair share of hair tearing moments! When the work was complete I had not only my first exhibition but a profound and deep new found respect for picture framers!

If you would like to see the exhibition please pop down to evolve wellness centre in South Kensington, you can take a yoga class while you’re at it!
